KPFZ - is fully licensed by the Federal Communications Commission as a Class A radio station broadcasting at 100 watts effective radiated power on 88.1 fm. KPFZ broadcasts from its studio in Lakeport, California with transmission from atop Mt. Konocti under the direction of Lake County Community Radio (LCCR).
LCCR is a California non-profit, public benefit corporation, composed of eleven Lake County board members, meetings open to the public and posted on our next board meeting page. KPFZ received its LPFM construction permit to broadcast on April 12, 2001, and its liscense in February 2002. Class A construction permit in 2005 & license in 2008 after a lot of hard work by its volunteers & support from the community.
