KISL 88.7FM Island Radio is owned and operated by the Catalina Island Performing Arts Foundation. CIPAF was incorporated in 1994 as Catalina Community Broadcasting, with a mission to bring the arts to Catalina Island through community radio. Since that time, the mission has expanded and the name changed to reflect that wider purpose.
The Catalina Performing Arts Foundation is a nonprofit tax-exempt organization led by concerned community volunteers committed to achieving the following initiatives:
Building community wealth for Greater Los Angeles through enriching the lives of children, families, students and visitors of Catalina Island by creating and coordinating opportunities for exposure to and participation in the fine and performing arts.
