Description
Heartlight is a Christian boarding school and residential counseling opportunity that is dedicated to helping teenage boys and girls and their families work through difficult situations. Heartlight is committed to the belief that an atmosphere of relationships creates an arena for change.
Heartlight helps troubled teens and the families of troubled teens work through teen crisis situations like teenage rebellion, teen suicide, teen peer pressure, teen depression, and other issues requiring an intervention. The live-in therapeutic program for troubled teens lasts 9-12 months. Heartlight is endorsed by leading Christian counselors.
All components of the Heartlight program are designed to create an environment of personal relationships. Through an intricate weaving together of teen activities, teen counseling, group teen therapy, teaching, teen mentoring, personal relationships, and the involvement of parents in the counseling process of working with a child, Heartlight has created an "arena" that has proven successful in the lives of troubled teens and their families.
