- About the film:
- The conception for this film began in February 2004 at the Independence Day Dinner and Dance organized by the Grenadian Cultural Association of British Columbia. In her speech, Monifa Ayinde, president of the association, stated that most North Americans knew only that the Americans invaded Grenada in October 1983. When I thought about my own limited knowledge I had to agree with her. Grenada, a small island in the southeastern Caribbean did not receive much coverage about the invasion by the Canadian media. Even today current issues that face Grenada are not covered by the media.
