Green Militia is the beginning of a social movement that combines the interest of the users of the site. Noticing that there is a lot of cross over between the environmental movement, homesteading, the do-it-yourself crowd, and those interested in getting off the grid and back to the land, it is an attempt to bring together the knowledge and resources from all these interests into a social network. That's the general idea away. This site is self evolving. All users have a say in how this site develops. Where it goes from here is anyones guess.

Protecting this planet from environmental damage is the responsibility of every human being. We must anticipate, and prepare for, an uncertain future. We must learn, advance our skills, provide for ourselves, go beyond both survival, and protest.
We are angry that the planet is dying.
It has been estimated that the number of species that have gone extinct because of man is in the thousands. THIS HAS TO STOP! We believe that human greed, industrial age thinking, wealth based on the hardship of the poor, and corrupt governments, are the roots of our current dystopia. We uphold the ideals of self-efficiency, self-reliance, ecological dependence, and direct action.
We believe that we must take responsibility to become personally knowledgeable about the ecology of our territories and the threats to it.
We are speaking on this occasion, not as members of this or that nation, continent, or creed, but as human beings, members of the species Man, whose continued existence is in doubt.
We recognize that the people of the earth are in itself, the power. We can either save this planet and ourselves, or destroy both. We believe empowerment comes from sustainable living, without reliance on corporations, their products, or services. In essence, Living the Good Life. Rampant consumerism, pollution, and other ills of “modern lifestyles” should give way to permaculture.

What about a TOS or Privacy statement?
Let's keep it simple folks. No user on this site ever has to use his or her real name ever. No email address will ever be used for any other reason then to set up login information, that being said, free email account are available for active members and you can change your default email account to that address at anytime. (bearing the amount of time it takes Alex to register the request) We will not sell, give away any email address, nor send you any spam, you will only get notices from post that you request, or a notice every 30 days to check if you still want to be part of the community if you haven't logged into the site recently. you are free to use any proxy service to mask your IP at anytime , we will never block TOR service etc. That all being said, illegal posts etc will be immediately deleted.

What about Ads?
Each Registered and Active user of this site can place ads via thier profile page that will appear on the Adverstisement module through out the site. These Ads can be for any legal purpose to support that user or his/her cause. The user is not required to share revenue from those Ads with greenmilitia.com or any other user. Ads automatically expire every 30 days, and need to be approved. More information is available in the Profile Area.
Text based ads hosted via Bidvertiser provide revenue to site hosting and administrators. Each Ad needs to be approved by the greenmilitia.com team according to the rules and conditions set out by that ad hosting company.
Green Militia also hosts an online store at http://store.greenmilitia.com this work is currently under construstion. User will be able to place some products in this store as well.
A random banner exchange is on the footer section of the site, these banners are only for causes and non-profit organiztions. Most media venues make some legal statement to distance themselves from such organiztions, Green Militia does not. If we did not agree with the views and opinions of those sites, we would not place free banners for them on our site. Green Militia recieves no economics value for these banners. If you think that a manner should be included in this section contact us.
Some content on this site is posted by a bot from the intro/descriptions of rss feeds, sometimes these feeds contain ads within them. As policy we do not remove or alter these ads so they support the original authors. In addition, all 'autopost bot' content is clearly marked as such and contain a direct link to the original site. Not all posts that are on those interesting sites are posted on greenmilitia.com as they each have to be manually approved by the admins, if you find that the posts are interesting we suggest that you subscribe to thier rss feeds, or visit the sites directly on a regular basis.
