Description
I grew up in New York City and was educated at Hunter College Elementary School, The High School of Music and Art, and C.C.N.Y., where I studied history and English literature. Moving to Santa Monica, California after college graduation, I have lived here with my family ever since, working as a story analyst. I am the "book person" at Warner Bros. Studios, reading novels to see if they would make movies. My husband Peter is a poet and my son Paul is a story analyst and theater reviewer.
One of my favorite places is the Novel Café, a bookshop/café in Santa Monica, where we do much of our work. For more about the Novel, check out its website (with our pictures on it) at Novelcafe.com. This picture shows Peter, our friend Andy Klein, and me at the Novel.
I am a ballet dancer and have taken classes most of my adult life. Here is my ballet class - I'm at the left and my beloved teacher Paul Maure is in the purple shirt, third from right.
