- The Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Inc. (CCADV) was founded in 1978 as the “Battered Women’s Task Force” and incorporated in 1986, as a vehicle for community-based domestic violence programs to provide statewide public policy advocacy, legislative reform, and education on the issue of domestic violence. Since that time, CCADV has grown from a staff of two to a staff of ten. Membership has also grown to include eighteen member programs. CCADV has also enlarged its focus to provide training, education and technical assistance to its member programs to ensure quality and consistent services throughout Connecticut.
