Welcome to the English Clergy Association

The English Clergy Association represents the interests of the English Clergy, and provides helpful advice, legal information and modest grants for holidays for clergy. The ECA has not only clergy, but also lay members, and now churchwardens.
The Association is a Membership organization, although within the constraints of the fact that no staff are employed its Officers do try to give information to anybody who asks - even when he telephones from the United States..... Costs are largely the publication of Parson & Parish twice yearly, a non-party magazine published continuously since 1938, and the postages, telephone calls, etc., of the Office and Officers, and necessary travel costs of the Association's elected Council Members. Subscriptions and Donations are very important. Legacies would be very welcome. Then we could expand the work, hopefully. The Association itself (unlike the Benefit Fund, which is Registered under No. 258559 with the Charity Commission) is not, and cannot be, a charity.
Cheques should be made out to "THE ENGLISH CLERGY ASSOCIATION" and Legacies expressed to be left to The English Clergy Association, The Old School, Norton Hawkfield, Bristol BS39 4HB for the purposes of the general funds controlled by the Council of the Association.
