Title

Asian Pacific Community Fund (APCF)

Description

The Asian Pacific Community Fund (APCF) is a non-profit, community-based organization that was created to fulfill a need for a unified effort to educate and encourage donors to direct their charitable giving to benefit community organizations serving the rapidly growing population of Asian Pacific Islanders in Los Angeles. As such, APCF partners with its 29 Affiliate Agencies to conduct charitable giving campaigns in public, private, and nonprofit organizations throughout Los Angeles County.

APCF Affiliate Agencies collectively provide culturally sensitive and linguistically appropriate programs and services to over 250,000 people each year throughout Los Angeles County, including: disadvantaged children, youth, disabled, seniors, immigrants, refugees, battered women, and low income families.

Established in 1990, APCF fills a much needed gap in the Asian Pacific Islander community as the only API community-based fund of its kind in Southern California raising funds primarily through these charitable workplace giving programs and individual donations. Since its founding, APCF has raised and distributed over $1.5 million in unrestricted grants enabling its Affiliates to launch both new initiatives and strengthen current programs and services.

APCF is and continues to be -- a vital link -- between donors and Asian Pacific Islanders in need by building a community of giving, one donor at a time.
