No doubt, the internet is amazing and it is keeping more and more people away from TV. So are people watching less TV these days? I truly believe so. I, for one, don’t watch a lot of TV anymore! News once a day, and if I want to watch lets say “Lost” I’d buy the whole season on DVD. Another thing, products such as TiVo (which I never tried since we don’t have them here) allow people to watch specifically what they want, whenever they want, rather than just changing channels all the time or waiting for the ads to finish. Maybe HDTV is real cool, and people will watch more TV in the future (which I doubt).
