During the planning stages prior to our 28 day USA tour in the summer of '02, Mike and the girls took to the Internet, looking up goofy attractions and offbeat things to see. At one point, we had located four different places in the USA that each claimed to be home to the World's Largest Ball Of Twine. Even after the number was whittled to three (one pretender to the crown turned out to be a fake), Mary had a bad feeling.
